On the occasion of ‘Daan Utsav 2022’ three projects such as ‘Book donation drive’, ‘Saree donation drive’, and ‘Clean Utsav Safe Utsav’ were conducted on 7 and 8 October 2022 at MCOPS.

Book Donation Drive was conducted on 7 October 2022. 2 boxes were kept outside MCOPS. The 25 books received were donated to kids of construction workers and educational books were donated to an NGO called Mahamaya Foundation. Saree Donation Drive was conducted on October 8, 2022. 2 boxes were kept outside MCOPS. The collection of 30 sarees were distributed to various housemaids through volunteers.  The third project ‘Clean Utsav Safe Utsav’ was conducted on 8 October 2022 in MCOPS Manipal. The project intended to provide a helping hand to the sanitization workers to keep the college surroundings clean. The motive behind this venture was to instill a thought that there is no discrimination between jobs as big or small. Around 40 volunteers turned up and under the supervision and help of the general duty workers, volunteers cleaned the whole college and experienced the kind of work the workers do every day to safeguard the health of the people. This was followed by High Tea to appreciate their contribution towards maintaining cleanliness and thus safeguarding the health of the people and to acknowledge their importance in society.
